We’re excited to announce Gravel Pitt “Lite": DIY edition 2026.

Here’s the rundown…

On Saturday, September 12th, Otter Creek Farm is hosting their First Annual Pig Roast event. Elizabeth and Brad have invited us to join them for a special meal, live music, and community, but also to ride the GP routes from the farm before dinner.

Here's how to participate:

  1. Buy a ticket to Otter Creek's Pig Roast event (veg and GF options available) - $25

    1. The Pig Roast is open to all, and folks are welcome to just join for food and skip the ride.

  2. Make a donation to Capital Streets here

  3. We'll send an email with the routes and other details

  4. On 9/12, Participants are welcome to show up at the farm as early as noon. DIY means self-supported- there are no aid stations, and while a Capital Streets crew will head out on the 30 miler around 1:30, folks can tackle their own ride whenever they'd like.

    1. Food will start being served around 5:30. Live music will start at 6:30

This is a great opportunity to enjoy the rural Rensselaer's bucolic landscape, enjoy delicious local food, and support both Otter Creek Farm and Capital Streets. Oh yeah, there will be Brown's beer too!
